Doubt it.

As bad as our defense is, it's even more vulnerable against high octane, spread offenses.

Just like that sophomore slump right?

No, not at all.

He means just as our OL would suffer with Joeckel's departure.

Bret will have y'all playing at a high level in no time, just like when he took Wisconsin to all those Rose Bowls. As soon as JFF leaves your recruiting will surpass ours almost over night, and an abundance of elite Texas high school players will choose the mighty Pigs.

No we wouldn't.

Sherman would still be coach. Manziel would NOT be starting, and our defense would be getting torn up even moreso week in and week out.

You're assuming everything would be equal save for conference affiliation. Wouldn't be the case at all.

Little do they know that its going to be the same shite next year with our OL. Oh wait Matthews is leaving!!! Ced will stay and it will be the same song different verse.

We wil have a good 5-6 linemen in the league 2-3 years from now

This isn't a troll...if you had the same coaches and players in the big 12 as you did last and this year, you'd have won that conference and probably played in the BCSNCG. Take that as a compliment. Nobodys saying that your not in better shape being in the SEC...

And there's the rub.

We wouldn't have the same coaches, and Showers would definitely have started in front of Manziel.

So we would have gone over either undefeated Alabama or Notre Dame?

It seems like OP wasn't trying to be a dbag. Almost like a compliment. Really confusing responses in this thread.

The Big 12 fricking sucks though and I would prefer my jimmies perpetually rustled as opposed to playing in that shithole mid-major conference.

I wasn't.

I was just thinking about how A&M had a great football team the year they left the Big XII for the SEC.

The SEC is so competitive that even with a great team the road to the BCSNCG is very difficult. A&M these past 2 years has had their best teams in years, and would have dominated the Big XII and whooped Texas' asses all over the field, and probably gone to two straight BCSNCGs.

I was just thinking about how different it would be if A&M postponed their move to the SEC.

We would still probably be 16-3 over that same period of time.

Friends of mine at Tech and the little school in Austin often say they wish they were in our shoes. The deed is done, and not a single Aggie is looking back, even if hindsight is 20-20

Think about this:

The following STARTERS carried over from 2011-2012:

HB - Christine Michael
WR - Ryan Swope
WR - Uzoma Nwachukwu
TE - Michael Lamothe
OL - Luke Joeckel
OL - Jarvis Harrison
OL - Patrick Lewis
OL - Cedric Ogbuehi
OL - Jake Matthews
DL/LB - Damontre Moore
DL - Spencer Nealy
LB - Sean Porter
LB - Jonathan Stewart
LB - Steven Jenkins
DB - Dustin Harris
DB - Steven Terrell
DB - Howard Matthews
P - Ryan Epperson

Of the other 2012 starters, only Johnny Manziel, Mike Evans, and Julien Obioha didn't play the previous season.

If A&M had postponed their move to the SEC, Johnny Manziel would have transferred because Jameill Showers would have been the starter, Mike Sherman would still be the coach, and Bill Byrne would still be the AD.

Definitely not over Bama, but who knows about Notre Dame. You had the talent and coaches to go undefeated in the Big12...

Take it as a f'n compliment...

If we missed out on multiple BCSCG appearances and we are still looking for our first sec win, it would still be worth it from a political standpoint to isolate ourselves from the burnt orange pestilence in Austin. I don't think even Auburn fans know the kind of dirty dealings and politics of outright subjugation that have gone down in the past.

Possibly... but A&M is better positioned for the next decade. Besides, I went to A&M when we wrecked shop in the SWC, and we always wilted in the big games.

That is the difference between weak conferences like the Little Ten and the SEC. A&M is the team they are because of playing tough games week in and week out.

Correct question!

If these 3 teams were undefeated at end of last season
Alabama
Notre Dame
Texas A&M

These are the 2 playing in the BCS MNC game
Alabama
Notre Dame

To suggest anything else means you do not understand the value of brands and advertising revenue.
