You are going to see or hear some recommendations to go to the Quad to see the Corps fall out and the cannon fire. In the words of Walter White, I tread VERY lightly about this recommendation. It depends ENTIRELY on how old you are. If you are 60+, you will probably think it was time well spent. My retired father loves it. If you are younger than that, you will be either bored or completely weirded-out. Aggies are a good-hearted, well-meaning bunch. The people who recommend this are being genuine - they think you will like it because it is so special to them that it brings tears to their eyes, but Aggies are also a naive bunch - we frequently fall afoul of not understanding that "our stuff" doesn't make sense and or ins't special to others. If you are late 20's-30's age guy looking for a good time, I would recommend against the Corps fall out and cannon experience. Just my .02. This will make other Ags mad, but it's the truth.

Ill be at a bar or tailgating.

Co-signed.
I would add Yell Practice to that advice as well.
And dinner at any restaurant with "wings" in its name and/or red plastic baskets as its serving vessels.

I actually agree with this (and I was in the Corps).

You've got some Commie in ya, don't ya?

Actually I agree with this and like TBird, was all about the Corps. It's something that should be seen once, but once should be enough. If I ever get back there I'd definitely check it out but only because I haven't been there in over 20 years. And I'd probably regret it because they're doing it all wrong and get off my lawn. To me this isn't that much different than the Grove: Must see, gotta do... once.
