First qtr:
Rushed 7 times
Passed 6 Score: 10-7 USC

2nd qtr:
Rushed 6
Passed 3
Fake punt pass- 1 score 24-7 USC

USC 24
UA 7

3rd qtr:
USC leading 31-7

8th pos

3 TE set, 1 wide, JWill loan set back, USC is in the nickel, Jwill to the left and has to cut back to the right for 3. Clowney blows the play up, even though he gets touched by at least 3 Hogs.

2/7- Loan set with AC, 2 stacked with one wide, USC 8 men in box, Hatcher goes for 51 yards on the sweep, gets stripped.

9th pos USC 38-7

Does it really matter what plays are called now?

In summary, our Qb play is pretty bad. the play calling is not the problem, execution is. I'm as critical as just about anyone on this site regarding this team, but the things that are happening are because of this staff being new.

Major props to our Oline and Sam Pittman, this group is getting better. 2 true freshmen and they are holding their own.

I don't like 2B's offensive philosophy, but WITH Chaney and more time spent on the passing game, this Razorback team will whip some arse. 2B's can't give up on the development of the passing game.

Keep your fingers crossed that we will have a good QB in Peavey and/or Storey.

Feel free to pick this apart and discuss.

SC with 9 on the line, the other 3 within 5 yrds. Couple of things went wrong:

Well hell, one of them is that SC had 12 on the field...

Good breakdown. I'm not a fan of Chaney's timing of play calling but he is still calling plays that are getting people open. We just can't make the reads or execute the throws when we do make the right read.

I really like the sweep with Hatcher. I don't think that play has gone for a loss yet.

Which in the end boils down to poor coaching. Now I know the argument could be made about how the staff is new, but repetitions at practice make for better execution and according to Chaney and BB we aren't doing that.
