Granted Mike Smith has had an issue or two with play calling, but be reminded. Our offense is top 5 in getting to the redzone. Our offensive line is a joke this year, and our defense looks like German shizer. I think Smith and Matt have done a great job, so in their defense, I look to Dimitroff. Trufant SUCKS! Alford is blossoming into a pretty good DB. But over all, we just do not have the personal on the O-LINE and defense to combat high powered, and physical offenses. Never thought we could give up 30 to the Jets. And regarding Freddie, please be reminded we just don't have the luck of the Irish. Even when Bobby was here, I can't count on all my fingers and toes how many times we made it to the playoffs and never got out of the first round. But as a hometown fan all around, it hurts, and it's easy to make a cry for desperation. But likewise, with Mike Smith, remember, they were calling for Coughlin to go to the guillotine. Came right behind that and won 2 Super Bowls. I think if anything, we should be urging Dimitroff to get us the right personnel on defense and the O-line. We need to lose out the rest of the season, draft Clowney #1 overall . THEN, go grab CJ Mosley with another later first round pick if we have one. We definitely need to trade/cut Decoud's arse and try to get a quality safety in either through trade or free agency. And the rest of the draft, I'm drafting top tier O-lineman and making trades to bring in other big uglies through the market or trades. Nicholas is expendable. Asante Samuel, also expendable. We can definitely get a good pickup on a Harry Douglas trade.
