It can happen. TAMU goes undefeated until the LSU game. LSU beats them. LSU beats Bama. Bama also loses to Auburn. LSU has head-to-head, they go to the SECCG. Missouri keeps winning and finishes regular season in top 3 after Oregon drops games to Stanford and UCLA, while FSU loses to Miami and Florida. LSU beats Missouri, VT beats FSU in the ACC title game, while UCLA wins the rematch in the Pac 12 title game. Everyone from the Big 12 sucks, and Ohio State drops games to Michigan and...ah, I don't have time for this. Let's just say that LSU has a snowball's chance in hell of winning the national title, but that's still a chance, right?
