We might as well play to win out for bragging rights and recruiting, no way in Hades we make to the NC this year. I don't see Oregon losing, Michigan is the only one left to contend with the Buckeyes, and Clemson or FSU will either beat each other for the ACC. Even if we were to beat BAMA, this is the ONE year a 1 loss SEC would not see the BCS crown, seeing that an undefeated PAC-12, ACC, and Big 10 team are undefeated. ranked 3 or 4 at the end of the season at best if we beat BAMA.
1. Oregon 13-0
2. OSU 13-0 (2nd here because of Meyer)
3. FSU/Clemson 13-0
4. UGA 12-1
5. BAMA 12-1
or
1. Oregon 13-0
2. OSU 13-0 (2nd here because of Meyer)
3. UGA 12-1
4. FSU/Clemson 13-0
5. BAMA 12-1
sorry guys....

Considering the amount of football to be played by the rest of the nation and Georgia this shouldn't really be on anyone's minds yet anyway.

Agree. The way things are shaping up, the only way an SEC team makes it to the NCG this year is if Bama wins out. Hopefully Stanford can upset Oregon again but I doubt it. If FSU can beat Clemson and then Florida beats FSU, that gives us our best shot if we can beat an undefeated Alabama in the SECCG. I don't see Ohio St. losing down the stretch but they are playing @ Michigan in their last game of the season so hopefully the Wolverines can pull off a miracle.

If FSU or Clemson go 13-0 they would make it in over OSU.

How many Alabama fans said this exact same thing last year? I agree that it doesn't look good at the moment, but DGD is absolutely right. Ton of football to be played, and in college football, things can change really quick. For example, Oregon and K State losing the same night last year. We'll start worrying about this in a month or so, assuming we run the table, which isn't a safe assumption at this point.

The Dawgs will absolutely make it to the natty and win. Here's why :
1. Oregon will lose this upcoming Saturday to Washington. Washington was as good as Stanford last night, just had some breaks go Stanford's way. Washington also plays a more physical brand of football, much like Stanford, which is a weakness for Oregon.
Oregon will then beat Stanford later in the season, and if that doesn't pan out, UCLA is another hurdle for them in the Pac 12 championship game.
2.Ohio is a paper tiger. Michigan will pull this one out and Ohio State will hate the maize and blue even more than they already do
Plan B, the B1G championship game. Ohio st doesn't have in them to run the table.
3. FSU loses in the Swamp to UF. FSU is a decent team, but they will fall to UF, just like they did last year.
4. Clemson has the best chance to win out, and they may lose to FSU, but chances are, this is the team UGA faces in Pasadena in January.
Either way, at best, only one undefeated will make it, if any, and the odds are that all major undefeateds will lose at least one.

What is the fascination with rankings? What do they prove? Play well, Represent, Win your conference. These are the things we can control and be proud of.
But if whining and wringing your hands is your thing, then hop on the tickle pile.
