Iowa State should have blitzed every down on the last drive against Texas.

Stops the team leading from winning.

There's a clear difference between a prevent defense, and a bend but don't break defense.
Iowa st wasn't in a prevent defense, and neither was LSU against Alabama, Clemson, or Georgia.

Chavis runs a perfect prevent defense.

The only thing the prevent defense prevents is field goals

No shite.
I hate prevent defense.
If you D works for 58 minutes, it will work for the last 2.
Paul Rhodes made three poor coach calls at the end of the game and THAT is why they lost, not the refs.
He played prevent D...he should have let them score with 90 seconds to play...he should have told his QB to spike the ball on 3rd.

Bill Oliver was a solid DC but he used to be bad about using the prevent at times. And don't get me started on Joe Kines and his love for it. Nothing wrong with keeping the ball in front of you but a prevent is a killer.

"against Texas" or "by Texas?"
Because, how would ISU blitz itself? You see, yes, ISU did have the "last drive against Texas."
