SEC is Southern Baptists so that probably has effect in some part but also there were some horrific car wrecks (UK vs UT game?) where insurance liability may have forced an adopted "don't ask, don't tell" type mentality. You can get booze in the corporate suites but not in the stands. Maybe no SEC can "officially" sell a drink because they do not want the legal liability if something goes bad.

well yea its made up of religious nuts but still its not official policy. If LSU felt like selling alcohol in the stadium we could. It would make the other schools cry about it. Its more like a gentlemens deal that each school wont do it. It probably has to do with fan behavior in the stands.
