he was shown on TV after the game punching an Ark. fan who had been throwing stadium seats at the band down below, and he had had enough of it. His father called him and said he saw him on TV. He "sat" three weekends for it and believes it was worth it - sitting a weekend Corps guys know about. I sat plenty myself and will spare the details, but it is definitely not a fun experience. In Aggie-speak his sacrifice is called "good bull"
Damn, good on him
I never sat an R-Dub, myself. Mainly because I would have died if I had to miss a football game
The one time I did have to sit one......I skipped out and they never noticed me missing. Still don't know how the hell that happened

Others please ignore this. Tbird: this is the root of my distaste for all things Air Force, 30 years later and I still don't like the Air Force... though you're screwing up my prejudice, dammit.
Senior year. CO of my company. Signed a statement saying I had inspected all of our seniors' vehicles to ensure they had senior parking stickers in the back window. Well, I had done that, but my classmate and hometown buddy drove a Jeep with plastic windows, and the sticker wouldn't stick, and I figured "Screw it, he has the sticker on his front window. Who cares?" So then a staff-rat AF puke walks down the line of senior vehicles on the street behind dorm 12 (who the hell does that when it isn't his job?), sees the Jeep and turns us in. I sat the weekend for that. The previous Friday evening we had our fish quad him (which I understand was banned in your day) and from the 3rd floor I stuck my head out the window and asked the guy if it bothered him even a little bit that I'd be missing the UH game over this. His reply? "Well, I'm not going to the game, either." So I had the fish move up a floor and the session went on... and on, and on. I sincerely hoped he'd drown. Alas, he survived.
