You are really going to reference Oregon State in this argument? Do you need a reminder of how Kentucky lost to Western KY? How about how Vandy struggled to beat UMASS? Arkansas lost to the University of frickin New Jersey for the second year in a row.

Legit point.

Oregon State is probably second or third worst team in the PAC12.

Let's not get all crazy now. It's a little early to make that declaration. Riley's worst teams have still managed to eek out 3 conference wins so he probably deserves the benefit of the doubt before you lump them in with Colorado and Cal.

The loss to Eastern WA, while embarrassing, is nowhere near as bad as the 2011 loss to Sac State. Riley's issue has always been depth. Offense is solid this year but the defense is thin. No shot at all of beating Oregon this year but if they beat Colorado and Cal they'll have their 3 conference wins and keep on keeping on. OSU is the historical equivalent of Miss State. Nobody ever claimed they were even close to upper tier for the Pac 10/12.

With the success Oregon is having these days the Beavs will have to be happy with breaking .500 and giving everybody on the schedule as much of a scrappy fight as they can. 9 wins or more is going to be rare from here on out.
