Bielema will be as good as his recruiting. Arkansas doubled his assistant coaches payment pool and that is why he left Wisconsin.

With Texas high school football next door, he can build Arkansas into a second tier contender much like LSU was before the Saban era.

Wrong, Bielema is the Saban for Arkansas. Same style with more success than Nick before he went to Lsu.

Just take the joy you felt when Arkansas went undefeated and won the SEC Championship Game and change it to anger and disappointment.

I could see Arkansas hanging around the level of success LSU had in the 90s too. It'll take some work for BB, but like you said if he can tap into texas while UT sucks and after Sumlin bolts, 3 bowl games every 10 years seems doable.

he did make a good hire. An easy one but a good one. Problem is Alvarez will keep paying himself over 1 million a year while giving his head coach nothing to work with in terms of assistant salaries. Barry better hope Andersen is as good at hiring assistants as Bret was because there'll be a shite ton of staff turnover just like there was with Bret.
