If so, how much of it would be from sheer spite? This would make the Alabama/Auburn rivalry seem like a Kenny G concert.

Texas would NEVER go after Sumlin for at least one of the same reasons they would never go after Briles...the appearance of taking a coach from a "lesser school".

The other reason, of course, is because the Klanhorns hate black people.

Texas would be dumb not to go after Sumlin. Young, energetic coach whose offense ha/ produced a Heisman winner. Sumlin doesn't care about defense but you don't need defense to win in the Big 12

No. They know he's being carried by JFF and will die down after he leaves.

They can come-a-courtin' all they want.

Sumlin's not leaving because Texas is no longer an elite program.

I seriously doubt it. Sumlin is decent but I'm curious to see how he continues after JFF is gone. All the aggies talk about the backup QBs like they're all just a notch below JFF and maybe they are but I think they are in for a rude awakening.

Texas will get a proven high profile coach.

Serious question though, why isn't Les Miles name being mentioned. Why isn't his name ever mentioned for any big openings?

Remember what Les Miles did to Arky? Rinse, repeat.
