Thanks, chief. I plan on leaving ATL by 7 AM. Sounds like I should be good. If there was an area of ATL that would be best to avoid overnight, where would that be??

I'm not as familiar with Atlanta as some others, but midtown/buckhead/highlands are all good areas that you should look into.

Probably the less time you spend downtown the better.

Ok 78 will be fine then. You'll get some traffic sure, but it won't be a standstill by any means. And like I said don't get discouraged early. After you come out of atlanta going east, you'll pass stone mountain and come back into "civilization" (like, not just exits and on ramps). You'll go through Stn.Mtn/lilburn, then snellville, then loganville and you'll have some traffic because you'll hit your share of traffic lights. But after the chevy dealership in Loganville you're good to go. Just slow down in Between.
