Since Sumlin is heading to the NFL next week, and Manziel, Evans, Matthews, and our QB coach's niece are going to the NFL next year, along with the massive debt A&M is incurring by upgrading the stadium, is A&M going to beat LSU to the #decline?

LSU has supposedly been on the decline for years now, yet with A&M's soon to be freefall, I just don't think Les is going to be able to keep up with the nosedive.

Texas A&M will drop off a good bit when Johnny Manziel leaves. 2-3 losses more a year.

LSU has been in inexorable decline for 15 years and counting.
26 wins and counting since September 2011 proves it.

So LSU.

Post about LSU, go figure

By the way to decline you have to actually be there first or maybe win something so that eliminates a n m from this discussion.

Other

Georgia

The Bulldog's best recruiter, Rodney Garner came back home to his alma mater on the Plains.

Garner recruited and coached for Tennessee during their best years as well.

Aaron Murray and those dynamic backs that Garner helped recruit are gone and then . . . South she goes. Not to mention head coaches in this league do not survive the gauntlet much longer than 10 years.

A&M,

Easy answer. No defense, will be like Petrino's Arkansas teams, v 2.0. Few good years but rely too heavily on skilled offensive players and never develop a defense.

And what are we measuring A&M's decline from? The lofty perch of 3rd in the West. Yes, quite comparable to 2 national championships and 3 SEC championships in a decade.

So I will go LSU... I will think A&M might be able to float at this remarkable 3rd in the West high water mark for awhile. Since we target championships and no mediocrity, the deck is stacked against us.

I like LSU's declining trajectory so far this year. Hope they keep this up all the way to Pasadena.
