BBQ here (at least in BR) SUCKS!
There are few places, and one chain, VooDoo BBQ, that sucks.
I came from a small town in GA, where there was a BBQ shaq on every corner, with most of them doing Carolina style BBQ. Would have BBQ at least once a week. There is absolutely no where I have found yet in BR that serves even close to decent BBQ.

There is some good Q in Louisiana. I'm just messin around with my coonass brethren. I thought Firehouse BBQ in Denham Springs was really good. I had some awesome ribs at a joint called red ribs in
Natchitoches a couple of years ago.
