Yetis arent that much better if you dont pre cool them and dont open the lid. if you treat a regular cooler the same as a yeti, they do pretty well. The other key is to use block ice.
There are several brands that are cheaper and of the same quality of yeti. they just dont have the marketing

This. To use a Yeti properly, you really want to get the inside super cold before you take it out.
Look at some other brands too. K2 Coolers, Grizzly, et cetera.
