I haven't read the entire thread -

But I did the exact same thing in 2011. We had a young team. Some weeks to develop. We had upset South Carolina in Columbia. We had just beaten Florida.

LSU was looking ahead to the Alabama game. We were maturing and Clint Moseley was going to be the guy would pull the trigger and get our passing game going. Mike Dyer would do what Auburn running backs usually do in away stadiums when we get the unexpected victory. Our defense would expose their quarterbacks.

I was hyped up. I was telling every - including on this board - that LSU was going down.

Then, uh, well, Mingo single handedly reached down our throat, grabbed our intestines, and pulled them into our nose.

So I'm staying away from any upset picks for a while especially in Death Valley.

Not a bad decision. Miles has lost only 2 night games at home, and both times the opponent was ranked no. 1 (32-2). Auburn has won in Tiger Stadium only 4 times, 1939, 1993, 1997, and 1999. It's not the 1990s anymore, Auburn is not ranked no. 1, and it's a night game.
