A&M guys, does the Texas loss make the Bama loss tolerable?

I am assuming you would rather beat Bama and Texas win, but if you had to lose to Bama did the bonfire that is UT football and spanking the Rebel Bears gave them allow you to at least enjoy the day.

I remember being in Tuscaloosa on a rare day that Ole Miss beat them many many years ago and how everyone gathered around the TV to watch the LSU and Auburn game (The earthquake game. As they told me as long as Auburn lost too the parties would be lively and fun going into the am.

Is it the same at A&M?

Yes, if not more important. Big brother is all we care about.

Is that what you were looking for?

I don't get fanbases that find solace in another team's loss after they lose, unless it has direct implications on your team's season.

I enjoyed the day no matter what. We had a chance to win at the end of the game, and couldn't get it done. Bama is the better team. We still have work to do.

It's funny that the longhorns lost. I hope they win out and keep mack, but it was funny.

I can imagine the fact that a team from their new conference beating Texas must have been satisfying, but I'm willing to bet that most A&M fans are just blissful about Texas' overall decline regardless of how last weekend turned out.

Absolutely! It's the only thing that matters to us.

Honestly didn't catch one snap of the Texas/OM game as I was too busy drinking my sorrows away.

Glad OM won though, but it really doesn't matter.

At least Lane Kiffin bounced back last week. Poor Mack.

I'll play. I would have watched it if I could have, but like most of Texas, I still don't get the LHN. So it just wasn't important to keep up with. I was pleased to see the score on Sunday morning although all of the horn fans I know were doing nothing but posting on facebook about the great Alabama victory.....I don't think they knew they lost?

When we were in the same conference it would have mattered a lot more, but listening to the game on my way back home Saturday night, I was really more concerned about what it would say about the SEC if that bunch of pantywaists could beat what is supposed to be an up and coming SEC team. Frankly, at this point, we can afford to be charitable and hope the Horns win some games--we don't want them firing Mack Brown prematurely. He's got another seven or eight good years in him if you ask me.

It makes my week better, honestly, because as someone who lives in Austin, I get to listen to the crazy conspiracy theories on the radio about the palace intrigue going on in Belmont. It's very entertaining. Like an HBO show. Or that movie "Downfall" about the last days in the Fuhrerbunker. I actually like my drive home now because it's solid ranting every time.

Glad Ole Miss won because they are an SEC program and the better we as a conference are, the better for all of us. Being strong against everyone else is why 1 loss SEC teams get to play for NC's.

But I will admit I enjoy seeing the horns lose.

It always makes me smile to hear Texas is losing but it's kind of like an aspirin for a gunshot wound. I also find myself caring less this year than last and last year I cared less then the year before. I did get some pleasure out of OU stomping the crap out of Texas last year since it was so over the top.

It's good for A&M for Texas to struggle, right now A&M could probably flip just about any Texas commit it wanted to. I live in Austin as well so I'd rather hear them whine about their struggles than to try and rant about how David Ash is just as good as Johnny Manziel.

At some point we will play each other again but we are in no rush. There is just way too much money left on the table by that game not happening and Texas needs it to sell their season tickets now that their schedule is crap.

For all the shite Texas gave everyone in the Big 12 I'm sure everyone enjoyed that.
