The basic structure of their arguments are outlined and they know each other's before they go live. But the back and forth, and Lou's hissy fits, aren't scripted.

I saw it live & if nothing else,Mark May's reaction showed it to be real. He was laughing his arse off & quickly ducked off stage as Lou sent the podium crashing to the floor. And Lou's face was red as a beet & he did say, several times, "I'm serious". What made his commments even more laughable was that he offered up Woody Hayes & JoPa as examples of coaches everyone thought was done & gone, noting that they each came back to win NC and/or restore their programs to prominence. What he left out was how both were fired and why. He's an arse.
