I was skeptical that UT would make a serious run at Saban. I figured they'd make a safer move, but thinks have gotten so bad so fast over there that I've changed my mind. Will they go after him? I don't know, but I think the chances are a lot better now than they were.

They might well go after him. It won't be the first time a team has gone after him since 2007.

The question is whether he wants anything to do with that catastrophe.

I wouldn't be the least surprised if he turned them down flat.

He'll be wearing a cowboy hat and pointy toed cowboy boots (gives an extra 2-3 inches in height) by the time the bluebonnets bloom in the Austin hill country next year.

They need to recruit Miss Terry to build an Academic Center for Student-Athletes.

When I saw your handle, the old theme music came flooding back to me. I was a kid, but that show was great.

Saban leaving to UT? I dunno. He is looking a bit older these days. Not sure he has it in him to start something new again. Then again, who knows?

On the next episode of The Rockford Files, Rockford goes full rantard and starts a shitty Saban to Texas thread.

Anyone who thinks Saban is going to take the job at Texas and have to deal with the intrusiveness of the Longhorn Network doesn't know very much about Saban.

LOL @ all of these Alabama fans in here acting like Saban gives any sort of shite about loyalty. This is how it starts. "What? No way would he take that job, he loves it here", so on and so forth. ANY sort of trouble comes his way or the kind of money Texas has been rumored to throw at him, you better start getting ready to kiss his arse good bye. The last time Alabama gave up 40+ points was 2003, you don't think that'll be on his mind? He's a perfectionist and when the ship starts sinking, Ol' Saban is the first one jumping off.

Dear LSU Fans,

PLEASE stop obsessing over Saban.

He IS NOT leaving Tuscaloosa until he retires. Why would he? Texas, USC, or LSU for that matter can't offer him ANYTHING he doesn't already have or has already had.

Alabama is one of the, if not the best CFB jobs in the country so another College team isn't going to 'lure' him away and he has NO good reason to go back to the NFL.

He is considered one of the All Time greats right now and will be an instant legend, why leave?

Embrace the war, we have the only Man and team that can (and does) stand in his way. Respect the hat, respect the opponent and let's get it on.

Geaux Tigers and shammer hammer screw you alabammer!

Signed,

an LSU Fan

He's not leaving and Tuscaloosa has nothing to do with it. If he started at Bama and was at LSU right now he wouldn't leave. He's too old to keep moving around and after that sour Dolphins departure he's not serving the media another softball to crush at him.
