Regarding Orangebloods report that DeLoss Dodds soon will step down as AD, UT spokesman Nick Voinis says, "Absolutely not true."

Heartbreaking news. I was very happy with the direction of their athletic department. I was hoping for another 3-4 years of Dodds, but we'll just have to make do.

He might at the end of the year. He is due $1 million bonus for being there x amount of years or something like that, at least so Jeff Ward was saying earlier this week.
Seems more than a few people expect him to stay long enough to collect that money and then retire.
ETA - I don't usually care much about this kind of thing, but since I heard it from someone else that doesn't usually jump on the rumor mill, I thought I would pass it along.
I think either way, Texas will hire another good ole boy that won't right the ship over there as long as they can made bank with a mediocre team.

I've heard the $1 Million kicks in automatically, so not dependent on whether he has stepped down or not
But consider the source. Chip Brown just throws a bunch of rumors against the wall and hopes that something sticks. So, far his track record has not been good

I still think whether he stays or goes that it really won't matter. They'll just hire another connected old Horn who won't rock the boat too much.
Not much will change over there as long as the money keeps pouring in.
