Alabama's weakness at OL is not on talent, it is on experience. Two weeks ago, VaTech took advantage of that with multiple formations, multiple shifts, and some things that the inexperienced OL just wasn't prepared for and were too green to adjust to. One of the O-linemen said in the following press conference that they couldn't tell where they were coming from or where they were going.

A lot of talk has been given to the return of some of A&M's starters for this game, but do you think A&M will keep doing what they have been doing, just better since the starters are back, or do you think they'll dial up something special for Alabama hoping to catch the OL in the same quandary they found themselves in against the Hokies?

Virginia tech has a more talented front than aggy. I'm not sure that the X's and O's will be enough to compensate for the Jose's and Juan's

Texas defenses full of Texas players are too soft to stop the run.

Saban has to be concerned with his running backs rushing to far too fast in the heat this weekend.

Were any of A&M's suspensions even on the DL? I thought they were mostly LB's and in the secondary.

I think they will stack the box and blitz multiple guys like VT did until we make them stop.

aTm + defense.....does not compute.
They would be better throwing bricks at Bama rather than a new D.

Yes, you will see much more 4 man front on 1st and 2nd down.
Snyder is very multiple on defense though, and there is no doubt he has held back (partly due to playing a lot of young guys).
Our defense will give up some yards, but I think they can also get turnovers.

I am sure there are some things we haven't seen yet, but I don't understand why everyone keeps making this game about the A&M defense. The a&M offense is better than last year from what I have seen so far and it was a record setting offense last year.

It doesn't matter if we can't stop their offense if they can't stop ours either.

There are definitely going to be some different looks and a lot of different players. A&M has basically used the last 2 games as scrimmages on D to figure out who could earn PT. Just a huge amount of young guys and other guys that haven't played.

The biggest addition talent wise coming back are Jenkins at LB (he is our best and most experience LB) and Harris at CB (who is also a starter). We have some other rotation guys, the biggest one is Stansbury on the DL. You also have guys like Ennis, Obioha, and Hall that have played sparingly.

The biggest "Oh ****!" for A&M right now is Floyd Raven (starting Safety who missed Rice) broke his collarbone on the first series against Sam and he is done for the year. Our Safety depth sucks and it is easily our biggest weakness right now. Two of Sam's long TD's are attributed to our Safety blowing his assignment, another was our backup CB doing the same (that will be fine though). May have to shift a CB to Safety. We have some good coverage DB's but a limited amount of real headhunters. If Bama can find a way to take advantage of that and get to the 2nd level they will get some points for sure.

I do know for sure though that A&M has a LOT offensively they haven't shown. They played about as vanilla as possible the last 2 games on O and never even played at a true HUNH pace like they can. Johnny has played less than 5 full quarters and hasn't run much. Cam Clear has yet to get a catch. RSJ will be back after missing Sam.

Of course Saban is going to be loaded with surprises as well. Honestly I think he tries to beat A&M with the pass on the play action more than the run to get those Safeties to bite.

No.

A&M's defense is confused as hell trying to run the base defense. Our defenders look lost.

Last year? Yes. They weren't great, but they knew what they were doing. This year? Our guys don't know where they are even supposed to line up. It's amateur hour.

Yes...A&M will have all its defensive starters back.

Yes...All those A&M defensive players that were NOT starters (10-15 players) that got playing time in first 2 games this season got VALUABLE playing time.
Yes...Bama is very talented and offensively was very vanilla against the hokies.
Yes...Bama will have some surprises for A&M (Manziel) duh
Yes...Saban is a very smart coach.
