If you believe that college players should get paid based on performance and popularity like professional athletes and go to the schools with the money and fans to pay them the most, then there is no good argument against your plan.

Don't really see the reason for the charade with the whole merchandise sale thing though. If you want to pay them, just pay them. Highest bidder wins just like in the NFL.

The difference is it's not pay for signing with a team. They really can't do that without a jersey to buy. It's not highest bidder, it's the player deciding who is more likely to sell his jersey. I am saying this as an Aggie fan. The fricking longhorns would have a huge advantage over us, but it would be fair to player, school, fan, booster, whomever.

Don't like it. BUY MORE PLAYER JERSEYS AND MERCHANDISE. MAKE YOUR PLAYERS SOME MONEY.
