An Ole Miss buddy of mine said the university is going to bring the song back. Is it true?
FWIW I think it's one of the best songs in sports and I would love for Ole Miss to bring it back.

I hope this is true is has always been one of my favorite songs that any SEC band plays. I loved it even before I went to school at Ole Miss.

They played Dixie at the Vanderbilt game. I like to kid Ole Miss but they really do have great band music.

It's a shame they made them stop playing it in the firstplace. Dixie is so much more than a song for us as southerners, it honestly gives me chillbumps hearing it and thinking about the history of the South, makes me proud.

Other than the beautiful sorostitute I'm probably going to end up wife-ing, this is the only thing I enjoy from OM.

I am NOT a liberal...At all...but the numbskulls yelling TSWRA absolutely ruined it for everybody. Don't know how you bring it back now. I honestly think it's time to let it go...

When I was at LSU in the mid 80's, I think it was WBRZ Channel 2 that signed off each late night with the Star Spangled Banner, then a slow, haunting a cappella version of Dixie (the whole song) with scenes from Louisiana and the South. It was beautiful.

It's a beautiful piece of music. It needs to never go away IMO, if people want to get offended by it they can get the frick over it. A thousand things far more offensive go on at every SEC game every week.
