He might be a hell of a recruiter and yall still have Pendry but that was the worst Bama O-Line performance in a very long time considering how terrible the opponent was.

I am not saying yall do not have time to fix it or that your O-Line sucks so don't come at me bro. I am just pointing out that if you played a team that had a pulse this week that you would have been in major trouble and he better get that fixed or there is no way that you will repeat.

To be fair VT returns a lot from a front seven that was sixth in the country in TFL last year.

Virginia Tech ranked as #18 in total defense last year. Not exactly world beaters, but not slouches either. LINK

We had been switching Oline guys around during camp. Just haven't found the right combination yet unfortunately.

Combine that with the three guys who we lost to the nfl, and you have our current dilemma.

Btw interesting fact but did you know that our all world Oline last year gave up six sacks in one game to....

Wait for it....

Western Kentucky

I agree that our Oline did not play up to standard and they did look like hot garbage tonight. But I will reserve my Fire Cristobal threads for later in the year depending on what adjustments he makes.

It was a cause for a little worry.Va. Tech's D-Line was whipping their arse.Their Defense was on the field a lot and continued to bring it.

The game left me with more questions than answers.

You're not giving Tech's defense enough credit. They returned 9 starters and have one of the top DC's in the country. They played great. We definitely have some work to do on offense, but opening up the season playing that caliber of defense will pay off down the road.

No argument here. I just hope it was a side effect of being up several scores or VTs DL was just really good. As well as we've recruited, we've got to have 5 guys that can block better than that.

You're demonstrating a serious lack of knowledge on the subject if you believe this.

VT has a good D-line and stacked the box. Bama's O-line needs some work. It was the first game. It's not the end of the world.

That said, I'm still anxious to see how our CB's will do against an offense with a pulse.

And, Christion Jones decided to show me up last night since I've been saying all offseason that he's not a great returner. In fairness to me though, I think he caught lightening in a bottle. And the blocking for him looked much better than in the past.

That VT front seven was one of the best that I saw yesterday. They were also playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Bama fans are used to getting teams best when they play Bama no matter who the team they're playing is.

I am not worried a bit about the O line or the offense they will be just fine after some looking at some of the mistakes they made on film and the practice field.

Nice bait, I'll bite.

I am concerned about the O-line, however, I also recognized that for some reason the play calling may have also been more vanilla than we've ever seen against a BCS caliber team. Stubbornly continuing to try to run with VaTech stacking 9 guys in the box, come on man.

If i were you though, I would be less concerned about Bama's o-line and more worried about LSU giving up 27 to TCU.
