You would. Our school has said at every turn: We'll play them anytime anywhere. Whenever they want to play, we will. They told all their coaches in every sport to not schedule us. How exactly is A&M at fault for that?

Ok, sure. Oversimplify the complexity of what went on.

Everyone knows there was a lot more to it than aTm saying "we're leaving" and texas replying "well go to hell we never want to play you again."

You can't be that naive.

With Texas A&M departing for the SEC next year, the future of the Thanksgiving game between the Aggies and Texas has been placed in jeopardy. A&M has made it clear that, despite it being an out-of-conference game, they want the series to continue. So far, Texas hasn’t quite reciprocated that level of optimism.

Saving the Lone Star Showdown with Texas A&M is not. In fact, it doesn’t even appear to be on the radar.

I'm old enough to remember like it was yesterday when SCAR bailed on the ACC and I can guarantee you that nothing in the history of college football was more contentious or complicated than that, yet we still play one another. Ga Tech and UGA is another example.

Now, the ACC, much like what the punk BIG 12 officials did, tried to mandate that no ACC team play SCAR, including Clemson, but NC State told them to pound sand and so did everyone else eventually. Plus, our state legislators moved quickly to inact a law requiring SCAR and Clemson to play every year and I believe we are now the second oldest continuous rivalry game in the country.
