Not at all.

Because it isn't like Auby wont be a mediocre team for 3 seasons under an unproven coach whose only claim to fame is piggy backing on qb talent right?

I think that the BCS has killed football a little bit. LSU and Alabama playing in the national championship game piqued no one's interest, and Notre Dame was a joke. I have little doubt that Oregon would have cruised past Notre Dame as well... I could go on for quite a while about how much I disliked Notre Dame's presence in that game.

I also believe that the SEC's "dominance" has been exaggerated. However, the media's hype regarding that has likely hampered enthusiasm outside of the south.

Regardless, I believe the four team playoff will re-energize fans. Not sure if it will really help attendance, as it's simply better to watch from home. The atmosphere is great, but being able to watch every game whilst getting the best view and not having to drive long distances is too convenient. If they want attendance to rise they should consider making ticket prices more reasonable. They have to adjust to demand.
