NFL dominates the football world, and its market share grows every year. I think CFB's glory days are likely in the past.

Your average sports fan has become disenchanted with the post season format, omnipresent scandals, and lack of parity.

That's a good point. I can't imagine being a non-SEC fan right now. Seven straight years, and most of the BCSCGs were blowouts. Not to mention in 2011 they watched two SEC teams play.

I'm not sure they believe they can compete.

I do think there's pressure on ticket prices. $65 for Vandy-Ole Miss? Is that what I heard?

Attendance in MAC and Sun Belt games is not exactly stellar. Arkansas State led the crowd last year at 26,000. Troy? 21,000.
