That's fine, but he's also never beaten Kevin Sumlin.

So you weren't alive to see the runs by Miami, Florida State, Nebraska, OU, etc?

One of the few coaches Sumlin can hold that over.

To be fair, none of those teams won 3/4.

While true, his record in revenge games is very good and with a look at their schedule, I think we can all assume what they have circled.

This brings me to a point in which I think ATM falls short.

Bama can easily look ahead to the ATM game given their coaching, talent and depth.

ATM can't and I believe that for the most part, are in fact looking over 3-4 teams in the SEC with a very very real chance of upsetting ATM like the SEC is known to do....

I was. However, I am talking of a coach specifically.

I didn't feel the need to state that it was my opinion. Given that this is a message board.

A&M can and is overlooking our first two games. We don't need to do anything fancy to thump Rice and Sam Houston.

Bama isn't spending anymore time on us than we are on them.

We can't overlook Rice and Sam Houston St. but Bama can overlook VT?

I have read this thread for a long time and have listened to the vast majority of ATM fans I know. (I live in Texas and married into a family of Ag's)

I have heard 2 teams leave 90% of ATM fans mouth: Bama & LSU..

You might be different, but I am assuming even you think every other game on your schedule will be a 2 TD+ win.

Frankly, given their history and vast gap between VT, yes. They can.

The VT game will most likely be like their game vs Mich. Slow, boring and result in a Bama win.

We could easily end up being double-digit favorites in 9 of our 12 games and we won eight games in blowout fashion last year, so yes I think it is a distinct possibility that we win quite a few games by multiple TDs.

That is where history has shown me that the SEC is likely to rear its ugly head.

There isn't many years that I have known where traditional teams suck for long periods. ATM had an advantage of entering the SEC at a very weird time.

We will see. Should be fun.

I am curious to see how the team responds to JFF's off field mess and how the rest of the SEC responds to ATM.

YOU HAVE ZERO PEOPLE ON D... End of story

You have absolutely no knowledge of the A&M defense. They return the following STARTERS:

Rush End Julien Obioha (SO)
Nose Tackle Kirby Ennis (SR)
WILL Linebacker Steven Jenkins (SR)
Cornerback Deshazor Everett (JR)
Cornerback Devante Harris (SO)
Strong Safety Howard Matthews (JR)

and the following players with starting experience

Defensive Tackle Alonzo Williams (FR)
Mike Linebacker Donnie Baggs (JR)

But no doubt, ATM is a good team.

Please don't think that I think they are a bottom feeder. They are not.

I just think that while they very clearly possess the capability of beating anyone, I think they lack the "current" capacity to maintain it.

Not every team we blew out was terrible. MSU won 8 games and OU was top-ten when we played them.

Leave some of the hook for the other fish.

Great, you return a few starters from a D that was average at best and ranked 88th in passing D.

My bad.

Rice will be a 5+ TD win

SHSU will be a 3+ TD win

Arkansas didn't magically get better on defense just because fat whiner is now the head coach - 2+ TD win easily

SMU will be a 3+ TD win

Ole Miss will be a 2+ TD win. They scored 17 points off of SIX turnovers last year. Three of those turnovers were unforced.

Auburn will be a 3+ TD win

Vanderbilt will be a 7-10 point win

UTEP will be a 3+ TD win

Mississippi State couldn't score more than 13 in Starkvegas. 2+ TD win

Missouri will be a 3+ TD win
