You are sayin people talked about Jefferson for Heismann that year. 
fact my arse!! A lot of people didn't want him to come back from the trouble he got in. jefferson has been despised for most his career. And LSU would be talked about as one of the great college teams of all time with the schedule they played and beating all comers. If not for the idiot HC who refused to spread you people out and let Jefferson pass or run the damn ball. A blind man could see that. He played right into y'all hands by continually tryin to run the ball, idiot.

I remember the "Greatest and Most Accomplished Team of All Time", but I don't remember anyone touting JJ for the Heisman.
