Idk honestly...I guess the leisure type float. We canoe the Buffalo in AR a few times a year. Thought we might try something different. We are staying in New Braunfels and plan on spending the rest of the day/evening in Gruene. So I figured we'd end up at the point in the river just below Gruene.

But I wasn't sure which outfitter was better and don't know anything about the river.

I would suggest doing the Comal if you want to hang out and drink some beers. It's right in New Braunfels and only takes a couple hours, it can be pretty crowded though. There's lots of outfitters, I've used Texas Tubes before.

I've never done the canoeing thing in Texas rivers honestly, that's why I asked. Gruene is badass if you've never been. Eat at the Grist Mill and have a couple Shiners at Gruene Hall.
