Negative. We know that (some) LSU fans are constantly looking for excuses. The schedule has been the convenient one lately, but before that it was Mulligans, PP7 was in bounds, refs never call holding on Bama, it goes on and on.

The 2014 schedule excuse is "of course Bama gets Florida at home. The schedule makers just refuse to make Bama go on the road". Nevermind that the last time the two teams met in the regular season it was AT Florida. Nevermind the fact that Florida plays cross division rotating opponent AT home this year while Bama plays cross division rotating opponent on the road. Those facts don't further the LSU propaganda and excuses. Like I said, you sound pathetic. Probably because you are.

If you don't understand how much bigger of a deal rotating opponents are under a 6-1-1 than they were under a 5-2-1 then you're not very smart.

The rotations now play a huge role in who ends up going to Atlanta. Just look at last season for instance. LSU, Texas A&M and Alabama all beat each other and went 5-1 against the SEC West. LSU and A&M both played at least one of the top 2 teams in the East. Alabama played none. Guess who went to Atlanta?

I don't care about holding calls or interceptions or mulligans or even who gets who at home and when. I care about competitive balance. We shouldn't have a league where the schedule makers have a large hand in who represents each division in Atlanta but right now that's the way it is. I don't think there's a conspiracy or anything like that, It's a complete clusterfrick to try to make a 14 team, 8 game schedule and still include all these permanent games from the other division and the league office hasn't been able to figure it out. That's affecting all of us. Luckily for you it has affected you in a positive way so you don't really care about it. That's all fine and good but to just call us "whiners" or whatever when it has been affecting us negatively is just a cheap and empty response as is the nonsense I'm responding to here. ADDRESS THE DAMN ISSUE FOR A CHANGE!!!

Same thing happened in the East last year, too. UGA, USC, UF all went 5-1 against the east, and all beat each other. USC and UF played at least one top team from the west, with UF getting the shaft and playing both. UGA played none. UGA in Atlanta.

Scheduling matters. It shouldn't, but it does.
