so ridiculous the overuse of this word. not one hog has predicted anything phenom for this season - at all, meager improvement from last year is what we hope for.
we, or i at least, do think he will turn out to be a good coach for us in the long-run. i'm sorry for having that 'delusional' point of view. do auburn, ky and tenn not share that viewpoint about their new coaches? if not, that's their problem i guess.

auburn. there high school coach will only last about 2 seasons before they give him the boot.

I'd argue strongly against it being AU. Not because I think Gus is awesome, but because I think Gus is unproven.
The response from most AU fans upon Gus' hiring was "meh, could be worse I guess". I don't know any Auburn fan who thinks we hit some kind of homerun with that hire.
We're hopeful Gus can get AU competitive again, but that's about it.
Whereas Arky fans seem to talk like they got an upgrade from Petrino.

I would think Tennessee is the obvious answer with Arkansas a close second.
I've seen countless Tennessee fans who are convinced that now with Jones they will be back to 1998 form in no time. Geez, wasn't that long ago every coach they wanted to hired kept turning them down...Lets hold the phones for a bit.

On the Rant? Arkansas. In real life, the two Arky fans I know are a lot more even-keeled in their expectations of the new coach.
