I was up there a couple of weeks ago. Dickson looks like every other tourist trap these days. Its lost its quirky character if you ask me.

Its really been built up. I wouldn't say it looks like a tourist trap. Its gotten a lot slicker and more moneyed. But there are bars there that have been there for decades.

The only thing I don't like is the chains that have come in on the western edge due to the really high rents driving the mom and pops out, and their ability to sell tons of food after 2:00 am.

Tourist trap? Do you travel?

I don't see how it's anything like a tourist trap. It's almost all locally owned and driven by local business. Basically the opposite of a tourist trap.
