I thought he was talking about he downstairs of the OPO, which I recall as The Brass Monkey at some point. IIRC, saw Kobe Tai there once.
Loved the Lightbulb Club. Better Than Exra played there in early 90's, pretty cool.

Yes Better than Extra was another good show. They played there both before hitting MTV and after. They had show posters framed along that long way to the pisser of tons of great early alt rock band shows. Truly a great venue, which is now a cheesy gay bar.

It was the Brass Monkey back in the late 70's, now that you have jogged my memory. Dam, that was a long time ago, lol.
