Only about 10 schools could afford it, or they would have to use taxpayer money/other students' tuition to cover it. It's completely unrealistic and just a terrible idea in general

except it's completely wrong. Every school gives out FULL cost of attendance scholarships in all kinds of disciplines every single year yet they can't do it for athletes?

The issue is there are hardly any universities turning a profit.

I want to say 23 only make a profit. Only 13 make over 100 million in profits.

MOST schools use subsidies to pay for sports. Tax payer money.

LSU, Texas, Nebraska, Ohio State, OU, PSU, Purdue were the ONLY schools that did not report using subsidy money in 2012.

The SEC spends 160+ thousand PER YEAR PER PLAYER.

Now explain to me WHY they should get more than what they are and from WHERE?
