Missouri. SEC East. 'nuff said.

Slive jumped the gun on this one. No reason to have them in the conference. We already can nationally recruit because we're the minor leagues of the NFL, so I don't see what the St.Louis/Kansas City TV markets really do for you. They will improve because no one can stand being embarrassed like they were last year. (Was shocked when I was reminded that they could have gone to the 2007 BCSNC if not for a loss against Oklahoma in the final week of the season). Competition does inherently make you better, they'll come around, but I don't see why we had to be the ones to raise them up just for symmetry's sake (even number of teams).

"Arkansas feels like part of the SEC. The Cocks felt out of place for the longest time, but with Spurrier there they are STARTING to fit in. TAMU fit in right away. Mizzou is like USCe in that it is going to take them a long time and they are going to have to be consistently good for a number of years before they are accepted."

One of the better responses in the entire thread.

Reasons this may not be correct :

a) KC and STL are big markets, time will tell if SEC can get them
b) ACC schools were safe : Slive is UVA and Skipper is UNC
c) ACC + SEC = ESPN and FOX / BTN was not getting VA / GA / SC / NC / FL schools (no matter what their idiot bloggers think)
d) SEC was not adding second school states (FL, KY, GA, and SC)
e) Adding Mizzou blocks B1G moves at state of Texas
f) Adding Mizzou blocks B1G from adding MU + KU (Came out in Gee FOIA)
g) SEC was never adding West Virginia no matter what the "dude" said
