Probably the same delusional area your fan base is getting this optimism.
New coach doesn't mean you will win guys. It could just mean you continue to suck or get worse. I thought Tennessee fans were going to hold off on Butch because they all whined about him when hired because he was their 30th choice when everyone else declined...but no. Somehow now Butch is an incredible coach and will win the SEC within three years guaranteed. The delusion that new coaches automatically mean vast and immediate improvement will continue with the lesser. The big name programs wait till you prove something.
New coach doesn't mean you will win guys. It could just mean you continue to suck or get worse. Much better season? I doubt it. If they have a better season it will be by one or two games. We're talking about two .500 squads here.
You fail to remember that Gus's offense is geared to work well with inferior talent. It is simple in scheme and relies heavily on the coaching staff reading defenses and making calls. They will score twice as many points per game this year than last. Their D needs work, will be a new scheme, but the talent is better than Arkansas.
Arkie can't say the same. They're gonna play old man football and go 3-out a whole lot. Their defense is thin as a result of years of offense-centric recruiting by Petrino. Its gonna be an ugly year for the Hogs.
I'd be surprised if Arkansas beats any team from the SEC West.

So if I show you Tre Mason had better numbers than any RB on your team, you will believe he is more talented than the Arky RB's. Are you asking me to do this for a majority of the players on 2 85+ man rosters?

I will say I am worried about three and outs, but I will also guarantee victories over AUB and Sip St. We're going to have a good running game, if we can get the balance passing the ball, we will be able to compete with teams outside the cellar.
