Seems as though a lot of these Metro STL recruits don't pan out.

For every Jeremy Maclin there are 3 Harneet Gills.

I'm not going to get upset if we don't thoroughly recruit STL anymore. It's never really been a hotbed of talent, and a lot of these dudes seem less ready to compete than those from the western side of the state.

Just an observation.

However, the bs that gets spewed forth from a lot of the STL media has been happening for years, and it makes zero sense.

Well... youth football in STL is way bigger now than it was just 5-10 years ago. It's the states largest city and football is now being played more than former favorites like soccer and baseball. MU needs STL.

And East STL is definitely producing, you want that you need STL too. One of the best players in the country for '15 is in ESTL.

STL has give MU 2 first round pics in just the last few years.

Monte Ball just came from here..

We need the whole state if we're going to have any real shot. These kids are supposed to be bred with the love of Mizzou in them already. That should make recruiting a lot easier. Once the program really gets rolling (and I think it will) the steps can be made to step up the development.

Right now we're a mid range program in a mid range state playing in the best football conference in the country. Any moves we're going to make absolutely need to be started at home, and getting these fricks in the media in line should be one of the first steps in making that happen.

That would not be smart.

Are you even in St. Louis? Have you read any of Dave Matter's articles? Frankly he is STL media when it comes to Mizzou sports and frankly he blows the doors off any one in COMO or KC or Springfield or anywhere.
