That's the media in general from what I've seen. The only motivation I could see, and I haven't read the story, was him thinking it would go national. Of course it won't though, because Mizzou isn't a good national story due to the fact that so many in the state take the opportunity to shite on Mizzou and hamstring the team in the major cities.

It's a magic circle.

Or he could just be a dumb 18 year old kid who didn't want to admit he wimped out. His foot hurt, and he saw the competition, and realized D1 was really tough, and decided Mizzou wasn't a good "fit", then decided to be critical of the medical rehab/training plan to deflect from fears.

I pointed out in another thread that yes, this is a bad injury. BUT, we all know how attitude comes into play. Barrett Jones, the Rams rookie center, played most of last season at Alabama with this same injury. He had surgery 2 days after the BCSCG. Then rehabbed like crazy and is ready for practice ahead of schedule with the Rams. If Mizzou was expecting greater toughness than Gill was prepared for, this is for the best.
