This meeting was a complete waste of time and probably money. Manziel has learned to lie all his life to get what he wants, and this will be no different. He feels entitled, and sees lying to the NCAA as a joke. Even if they recommend that A&M not play him, they will, so why go thru all of this drama? Little Johnny owns this school right now, and there is nothing that they can do about it.

Because the NCAA wants to save face. After Cam got off scott free, they are sick of getting egg on their face. Even setting the precedent for a "recommendation" in the first place shows absolutely no control or authority. I'm not sure they've set "recommendations" in the past, but they are fooling themselves if they think this is a smart way to proceed.
