This is JMO but I think Bama, LSU, aTm, UGA, and UF would all beat the shite out of ND and Stanford.

Probably so. I too was probably tricked into thinking Stanford was better than they were.

Once Stanford replaced their starting QB (after the Notre Dame game), they were a much better team.
They did have a pretty good defense. Maybe not on Alabama's level but very few have been lately. They shut down Oregon for the most part in their own house.
