Most SEC fans (not all) pull for SEC teams when they face outside competition. I will be pulling for Georgia vs. Clemson, USCe vs. North Carolina,Bama vs. Va. Tech, etc., because it makes the conference stronger as a whole. However, within the conference, we like to eat our own. I want A&M, BAMA, and Ole Miss to lose to every SEC team.

this is all bullshite. if anything, A&M should demand respect from all within the conference.

Serious answer - many of us pull for other SEC teams because a stronger conference perception benefits everyone. But another reason is that we are familiar with the other teams. I grew up with talk about Hershel Walker and the Chinese Bandits and General Neyland and Johnny Vaught. I am familar with these programs, and so I tend to have more interest in them doing well. We aren't as familiar with A&M (other than the ties between Bama and A&M in coaching), and most of us don't know anything about Missouri. So stick around and ask your question in a couple years.
