Arkansas was probably better than LSU in 2010. Even though we were stacked, we got a bunch of lucky bounces. UNC almost scoring a game winning TD, Tennessee's derp, Florida fake punt.

No, threads like this happen because A&M fans start them. They start them because they need validation that a season that is largely unremarkable is their best in the majority of their fan's lifetimes.
LSU as a whole doesn't give a shite. If you had the better season, great, if not who cares. This is like when 6 year olds are arguing and one's like "Well I'm 6 1/2!" and the other says, "Well I'm older, I'm 6 3/4!" Your both 6 kids, nobody cares.

To point out Aggy using the same logic against LSU that LSU used against Arkansas in 2010.
The only difference is Aggy doesn't have to claim the cotton bowl is better than the Sugar, as the cotton is better than the chic-fil-a.

The greatest season your team has had in anyone's memory will be entirely overlooked because nothing was accomplished. There's a reason LSU fans aren't talking about how great we were last year, because it doesn't matter.
Also because we are like a fricking month away from a new season, move on.

I think when we are discussing 2 teams who had the same record in the regular season the only way to decide which one was better is the head to head matchup.
Head to head doesn't decide every time, like in your example.
