The final scrimmage of camp was held today for the Ducks. www.goducks.com has practice reports (click on Rob Moseley blog) and the updated roster.

The cliff notes:

The Good

1) Dline has been the storyline of camp. Heimuli came into camp healthy for the first time in his career and the line is deep. This should be a fun match up to watch Tenn OL vs Ducks DL.

2) Oregon got a kicker in Matt Wogan (this has been a troubling spot) who is an automatic touchback machine. Maldonado has been a disgrace to his Mexican heritage.

The Bad

1) Thomas Tyner, our freak of a true frosh at rb, has been injured with an apparent ankle injury.

2) The linebacking unit, particularly inside, is still unsettled and the depth chart will be determined tomorrow. The ILBs are little light in the pants. Hardrick (243), Walker (219), Cassell (218), Malone (212). We play OLBs at the LOS and they have more sand in the pants than the ILBs by scheme but this rotation is very light.

The Intriguing

1) Josh Huff and Colt Lyerla have been conspicuously included in the rushing game in more than one practice report. Lyerla is a 250 TE/HBACK and Huff plays WR/SB. #swissarmyoffense.

2) Any notions of the Ducks being light in the pants in the trenches has been shattered. The starting two deep on the DL is Heimuli 6'4" 314, Keliikipi 6'3" 306, Balducci 6'4" 297, Armstead 6'8" 295, Hart 6'6 287 and Buckner 6'7" 286.

Your team is soft. Weight has nothing to do with that. Congrats on being the Washington State of tSEC.
