If your team was better at basketball would you go to more games?

This is for the teams who don't have good attendance/are Kentucky. For some background, the SEC does not do a great job minus a few outliers of attending basketball events LINK

So if your team started rising to relevance, would you start attending more basketball games (I don't mean think about but actually buy tickets/go)? What type of season would it take for the rest of your fanbase to go and fill the arena?

Auburn

For me about Auburn: I love going to basketball games but cannot get motivated myself to go since we blow. I think if we started going 18+ wins I would go more frequently and if we made it to 22+ I would be a regular 26+ I would go every game I could

Fanbase- Auburn reduced the arena size but I still don't see us filling it up without us having back to back winning seasons and for us to on pace to win 25+ and ranked top 25. We need consistent success or our fanbase won't care. We just don't get jazzed up about basketball, especially boring defense ball Barbee doesn't play

I would honestly go to more basketball games if they let us park by the coliseum and not have to ride the bus from the Soccer Fields. Expensive/lack of parking is the number one issue causing poor attendance in college athletics

I go to a few games regardless of how good we are.

Not only being good, but playing a fun style too. I remember, Coleman Coliseum was packed and rockin' when JaMychal Green, Tony Mitchell and Senario Hillman were putting on a show each week. The only high flying baller right now is Retin.

I wouldn't because I don't give a shite about Basketball, just like most people in the south.

I'll be going to all of Carolina's home BB games whether we improve or not. My daughter is dancing with the Carolina Girls beginning this year! (And HELL NO I won't post pics!)

Not really. I'll pay a little more attention if A&M or Michigan is good, but NBA is way better than college bball.

Definitely.

Even if we weren't very good but had a player that was entertaining to watch I would go to more.

As long as our team isn't putrid, Arkansas has pretty killer basketball support.

We support everything pretty well here.

Ole Miss would have to win a national title before I'd even think about buying season tickets. And that's only if the Tad Pad is demolished and a new arena is built.

Arkansas' attendance was among the best in the country prior to Pelphrey taking a dump on the program. It declined rapidly during his tenure. It's starting to come back but it will take MA some time to get the program where he wants it. This is the first year of his tenure with some expectations.

I go to every home game, most of my friends do as well.

We are around 15-16K/game when we are not good and 18K-20K/game when we are.

My guess is we will be around 17 or 18K/game this year, which is pretty solid.

i just love the entire college football experience more college basketball, probably b/c i was raised in the south on it.

one game a week, 95% of the time played on a saturday, which gives you an entire day to concentrate on football and partying, traveling to the game, tailgating, visiting the campus/your fraternity/sorority house, or just hanging at home with your friends & watching your team plus most of the cfb teams play.. as opposed to basketball's two games a week, one of which will be played during some random time of the week.

that said, we have relocated to indiana & am trying very hard to love college basketball...

I would be more motivated if there were some serious tailgating involved. I went to 8 this year which isnt bad, IMO.
