I just don't get the fascination with Malzahn. Dude is only six years removed from being a HS coach in Arkansas, has four years of BCS conference coaching experience (none as a HC) and of those four only two (2006 Arkansas and 2011 Auburn) would be considered successful. In those two seasons, he ran completely differet offensive schemes with legendary players at RB and QB. He has never had a great offense in a BCS conference without a transcendent player who will remembered forever.

Malzahn would probably be happy to show Sumlin his National or SEC championship rings.

Yeah, you didn't see that 2009 Auburn team. Pretty fun team to watch when they had it going. They really pushed that 2009 Bama team in the Iron Bowl even though they were pretty outmatched.

The '11 offense was OK but it was obvious Chizik was slowing the game down some...QB play that year was pretty bad and Dyer was in and out of the lineup for obvious reasons.

He gets to run the offense on his own terms now. Should be interesting.

I think 7 wins is pretty accurate. Auburn will be much, much better than last year but it might not show due to the competition in the SEC West right now.
