You are correct, I guess it just irks me because it wouldn't be a surprise to me. I absolutely think we have what it takes to surpass any and all expectations with the right man under center

It's all about coming together as a cohesive unit; the exact opposite of what we did last year. People think because we were 3-9 we have no talent. I just don't get the fascination with Malzahn. Dude is only six years removed from being a HS coach in Arkansas, has four years of BCS conference coaching experience (none as a HC) and of those four only two (2006 Arkansas and 2011 Auburn) would be considered successful. In those two seasons, he ran completely differet offensive schemes with legendary players at RB and QB. He has never had a great offense in a BCS conference without a transcendent player who will remembered forever.
