He was 26th in the league in completion % last year, just above Brandon Weeden. He was 21st the year prior.

The only QB to ever win a Superbowl without a completion % in the top half of the league was Terry Bradshaw, and in the two years in which he did it he had the #1 defense in both yards and points against.

So, unless Cam Newton gets paired with a defense comparable to the Steel fricking Curtain, my point stands.
