Anyone else ever notice how Mississippi has an EXCUSE for EVERYTHING?

This one is definitely not an excuse. By MS law, it would be racist for MSU or OM to have higher admissions standards than the HBUs.

Maybe the state of Mississippi should educate your black or minority population more. I notice a lot of people in Mississippi blame black students for their low rankings. I compared Mizzou to KU, Mizzou have higher percentage of blacks than KU....MU is ranked higher. Bama and LSU have similar black populations and Bama is usually ranked higher. UGA, Auburn, Bama are usually ranked higher than Mizzou, guess what those schools have more African Americans compared to Mizzou, you'd think Mizzou would be ranked higher...LSU have more african americans than Mizzou and usually ranked lower. Race isn't that much of a factor.

Search schools demographics....2008

Here's the population of african americans at some SEC and other schools....
black/total students/undergrads
LSU. 2063/28810/23396
Miss State 2754/17824/13991
Ole Miss 1694/15220/12661
Mizzou 1322/28447/21654
Bama 2476/27014/22341
Auburn 1641/24530/20037
UGA 1689/34180/25467
South Carolina 2243/27488/19765
Florida 3485/51474/34654
